Austin, TX estates planning & probate attorney Kyle Robbins shares why he became a lawyer as well as his background & experience. He shares that he became an estate attorney because of a personal experience. His grandfather passed away during his first year of law school at the age of 89. A lifelong farmer, his grandfather was on a tractor until the day he died. He had named his mother as the executor, and while he was navigating law school, he began helping her with the estate. The process took three years to wrap up, and communication between his mother and her siblings was strained. By the end, their relationship had suffered significantly.
He initially thought the estate attorney had mishandled the case or committed malpractice, but after looking into it, he realized the process was typical for estate planning and probate administration. That experience inspired him: he believed he could provide families with a plan that would be quicker, simpler, and more cost-effective, reducing the stress on families during difficult times. He takes pride in having built a practice where clients consistently report positive experiences and write excellent reviews.
He credits his education at the University of Texas School of Law, where he received a scholarship and learned from top professors, for equipping him to specialize in estate planning right out of law school. In his first year, he worked with several hundred families, and he has continued serving hundreds of clients every year since. By focusing solely on estate law, he has gained extensive experience with a wide range of issues and challenges. At this point, there’s very little in estate cases that he hasn’t seen and successfully handled.
