so the most rewarding aspect of my
practice is that I get to effectuate
real change in workplaces in New Jersey
both for our clients but for our clients
co-workers right like and I know it
sounds cliche but I always wanted to go
into a career where I was helping people
and it’s why I went to law school and
ultimately it’s why I became an
employment attorney cuz I didn’t want to
just fight over money or or neighbors
getting into battles with each other
over hedges that wasn’t of interest to
me like I really like the idea that when
somebody’s being discriminated against
that there are real remedies and there
are things we can do to stop it and to
not just stop it for that individual
client but also sometimes to affect real
change in the workplace and I also I
always joke that you know I change
workplaces one workplace at a time and
to me that’s always been the most
rewarding aspect of this job

i’m an immigrant and my parents are
immigrants and although they took
classes when they came to this country
to learn English you know they weren’t
educated here and so for a long time I
spent most of my childhood or all of my
childhood and young
adulthood translating things for them
you know translating letters translating
things in English translating difficult
concepts to them it’s given me a unique
ability i say it’s my superpower it to
be able to explain difficult concepts
difficult legal concepts to clients in a
way that anybody can understand right so
an attorney might start talking about
discovery and they might start talking
about summary judgement motions and then
just move on without ever explaining
what those things are but I recognize
that most non- lawyers have no idea what
either of those terms mean unless
they’ve had significant experience in
the legal world and so I think that my
childhood and upbringing has really
paved the way to get me here to be able
to communicate with anybody on a level
that they can understand
