I think when somebody’s looking to hire a mediator, they would look at that person’s experience. Look at their availability. Check out their reputation. Before I was on the Supreme Court, I did a lot of litigation and I used mediation too, and when I selected a mediator, I wanted somebody that my client would respect and listen to. And also the other party, and the other lawyer, would listen to, ‘cause I found that would be the most important part of my process in selecting a mediator.
And I think the reputation – we do settle over 95 percent of the cases that I mediate, and we have a very high success rate in terms of reaching resolution.
