Our firm and the lawyers at our firm are all very impacted by the Me Too movement. And the stories that I think impacted many of us in this country about widespread harassment that goes on, and the victims and how many of the victims feel like it’s very difficult for them to get justice and to come forward, and all of the difficulties in doing so and the challenges. And so we were very impacted by those stories and decided this was a practice area that we wanted as a firm to get involved in. We wanted to help those people who are victims of sexual harassment and gender discrimination in the workplace.

And so one of the ways we did that is we did start a blog and we tried to really become well educated about the variety of issues that affect those type cases. So far I’m proud to say we have had some successful representation of victims of sexual harassment that we’ve handled. I’m handling a case right now for a woman who among others was discriminated against because of her gender, as well as her age. And also suffered the victim of harassment in the workplace.

And it’s a cause that we all feel very strongly about and good about. It’s a chance for us to use, you know, the law and our skills as advocates in the law for something that has a big impact on individuals. A lot of the other clients that we represent are corporations and it’s nice to have this practice areas where you really feel like you could do some good for some people. And these are laws that have not been utilized very well for a long period of time, but I think the time is right for these people who have been victims to get justice, and that’s what we’re here to do.
