Hill Farrer’s labor and employment practice uh includes about a third of our attorneys at the firm and it covers soup
to nuts needs of employers and management at employer clients. We handle everything from traditional labor
issues of fending off union organizing campaigns or if a union is successful in
organizing and winning an election in front of the National Labor Relations Board of uh negotiating with the union
or dealing with collective bargaining agreements that are reached. Uh we also represent and advise employers with
regard to the types of claims that you see coming out of wrongful terminations, retaliation or whistleblower claims,
claims of discrimination or sometimes claims of harassment whether sexual or otherwise. We frequently move those
claims into arbitration where we can put on a trial on the merits uh based on the individual claims of the employee. But
we also try those cases in court. And we have a substantial practice devoted to the wage and hour uh compliance and
litigation that has swamped California employers in the past couple of decades.
Again, routinely trying those to both arbitrators as well as to courts.
