The federal cases deter are determined
by uh the transportation of drugs across
state lines. Whether there is a nexus or
a connection to the drug delivery here
in Michigan from another state. As we
know, drugs are run all across the
country on all different highways, all
different freeways, uh from other
states, but also from other countries.
Um, I’ve gotten several calls from
people who are trying to enter the
United States, uh, with box trucks, with
semi-truckss, with vehicles, with all
sorts of things trying to bring drugs
into the US from Canada. So, there is a
lot of different ways it can become
federal. Uh, but it’s not always
determined on the weight, but it’s
mostly determined on how the drugs were
transported and where they came from and
where they ended.
