The courts understand more than I
believe before the implications
and even what is domestic violence. For
example, there’s a new prong that we
look at is disturbing the peace.
Disturbing someone’s peace can rise to
the level of domestic violence. repeated
text messages over and over and over
again telling you know telling someone
you know derogatory words over and over
again um busting through a window
disturbing the piece what a reasonable
um person would fear or feel um if that
action was repeatedly done or done in a
way that a person’s peace would be
disturbed. So courts are understanding
domestic violence more in the different
levels. So you don’t always have to
have, you know, a black eye in order to
have domestic violence. It could be an
emotional um damage um that rises to the
level of domestic violence.
