There are a number of issues that we see on a regular basis. One of them is a distrust of the court system. A lot of our clients have been in the court system before, and they find it really unreliable and unfair to them. Now, that’s their perception. Our job is to try to turn that around; explain to them what their rights are. A lot of people don’t even understand all of the rights that they have. So, we try to explain that to them, and explain that we have the experience where we can actually make the court system work for you.

Another issue that our clients face is dissatisfaction with an internal governmental investigation of their incident. So, we have internal affairs investigations that are done by the police, jail investigations that are done by the counties. Same thing with death investigations. And a lot of times, those don’t go in our clients’ favor, and we can try to address that with them and say, “We can help you. We can get to the bottom of the facts. We can change policies and procedures, and we can get you not only compensation, but a piece of mind that what happened to you actually will make a difference for people in the future.”
