I would say typically, motor vehicle accident.  So, I have one right now where a passenger had a resulting traumatic brain injury from a motor vehicle accident and he still has, you know, long-term disability from that.  That’s one example.

I had a case I tried a few years ago where my client was essentially run off the road by a snowplow.  His truck overturned.  He was almost decapitated.  He almost died.  So, cases where I call catastrophic injury, I don’t typically handle the whiplash type cases.  These are cases that are catastrophic to the person that’s been injured and their family.

Minneapolis Medical Malpractice and Civil Litigation Attorney, Kathleen Loucks, discusses the various catastrophic loss cases she’s been a part of.
