Austin, TX commercial litigation attorney Walter V. Williams talks about his experience in business litigation. He says the best way to describe his background is simple: he’s a Board-Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, a designation granted by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization—an arm of the State Bar of Texas. That certification reflects not only extensive training but also a proven record of courtroom experience, including a required number of hours and trials before earning the distinction.
Over the years, he has tried cases in roughly thirteen different Texas counties, including Travis, Williamson, and Bexar. His trial work has also taken him beyond the state—he’s handled cases in places as far apart as California and Maine, literally from coast to coast.
The matters he’s tried span a wide range of issues, reflecting both the depth and diversity of his litigation experience. He considers his background somewhat unique, noting that few attorneys can claim the same combination of trial experience, courtroom exposure, and success across such a broad geographic and legal spectrum.
