Secondary assault uh is kind of a broad
term used uh and then broken up into
certain subsections in Colorado. It’s a
class 4 felony generally carrying with
it between two and six years in the
Department of Corrections followed by a
period of mandatory parole if you are
sentenced to DOC. It can involve
strangulation. It can involve striking a
peace officer. It can involve causing
serious bodily injury to another. It can
involve using a deadly weapon to injure
somebody. So, there’s quite a few
different ways that that’s broken up in
Colorado and can be any number of
different oper options.
