One of the things that I think makes Henler Flores law different from a lot of other law firms, we don’t treat the people we represent like commodities. We treat them like people. We treat them the way we would want our own family members, our own friends to be represented by another law firm. So, that’s the first thing.

The second thing is that we take a lot of time to listen to the people we represent. Because, their stories matter, their stories are what drive change, their stories matter because they have an impact on how corporations and other wrongdoers behave in the future. So, that’s one of the important differences.

Another important difference is that we take a great deal of care in hiring the people who become part of our law firm and represent the people we represent. We do that through a number of ways, through very detailed interviews and behavioral assessments and reference checks and insuring that what they have done in the past is aligned with what we do as a law firm. And, we insure that the individuals we hire are aligned with our purpose. So, as a purpose driven law firm we have to make sure that the people who come into the law firm to work here can embrace that purpose and exhibit the behaviors that it takes to advance that purpose.

Finally, I think the most important difference is that we don’t back down from bullies. We stand our ground for the people we represent and we push hard. We don’t cut and run we stand our ground. And, that is demonstrated in the way we have represented people for 30 years. Whether it’s farm workers in Latin America, street children who were victims of corporations, shoe glue to the third world, the asbestos industry, or other wrongdoers that are causing harm and damage to people because they think they can get away with it.

And, when we represent people in those cases, in those situations, the companies, the corporations that we go against learn quickly that we’re not gonna be intimidated, we’re not gonna cut and run and we’re not gonna back down.
