one of the things that makes us
different is kind of the breadth of
experience that we have and we have
attorneys who are
in their 70s down to in their 30s you
have maybe the fresher ideas more
recently in law school on the younger
end and then the people who’ve you know
seen
almost everything uh on the older end so
amongst the eight of us there’s that
piece
um and i think another thing that makes
us different
um is we all have a unique um
approach to family law so one of our
attorneys does a lot of juvenile law one
of our attorneys is a cpa and does a lot
of work with banking and business
divorce type cases
a couple of more recently law clerks one
was a domestic abuse advocate and
one of our attorneys does estate
planning
as about half of her practice so i think
that brings a lot of knowledge to the
table
so when we you know need to bounce ideas
off one another there’s just this giant
knowledge base
at the firm
we practice family law
we have one lawyer who does wills trusts
probate
guardianships conservatorships and the
rest of our lawyers
do
representation of people who are getting
a divorce have a custody
matter
domestic abuse cases we handle trials of
all all types of family law matters
appeals to the court of appeals in
minnesota and the minnesota supreme
court
so our firm provides a very high level
of service
we utilize what’s called a team approach
which means not only will an attorney be
assigned to your case but also a
paralegal and a legal assistant which
means if you need to
get communication from the attorney or
from someone on your case you can speak
to not only if the attorney’s
unavailable the paralegal or legal
assistant to get assistance
additionally we’re able to utilize lower
billing rates which makes your case more
cost effective
when you’re hiring a family law attorney
i think the first thing you look for is
comfort you want to be able to have a
good conversation
with the individual you want to make
sure that the attorney is listening to
you
i think that is a real key component as
opposed to
some attorneys um and i
teach at the law school we talk about
this quite a bit
there are times when attorneys want to
tell you all the knowledge they have as
opposed to listen
to the individuals and make sure the
attorney is actively listening to you
and your needs
so anything under the family law

people with
going through a divorce with all types
of assets you think of an asset we’ve
somebody at our firm has has dealt with
somebody with with a client with that

people with custody issues child support

going into court to try to get
