I think that the difference between the
Bennett Law Firm and the majority of
other firms is that we really focus on
the person rather than the case. Uh
compassionate criminal defense means
more than just that. We focus a lot on
the person, their family, making sure
their family’s aware of everything
that’s happening. Um, there’s a lot of
people that a lot of attorneys that
spend time with the client but don’t
alert the family as to any changes or
anything that’s moving on. And I think
it’s very very important for uh
especially a younger client to have the
uh involvement from their family so that
they’re not playing telephone with their
family every time. And we really try to
focus on the client as a as a human uh
and trying to make sure that whoever I’m
speaking to, whether it’s a prosecutor
or a judge, that the judge knows who he
is or she is, not who case number blah
blah blah is. It’s really a really a
good way to make sure that everyone
feels more comfortable with making
decisions about the case.
The service that we provide is very
hands-on. I have an assistant who
handles most phone calls. I have an
assistant that handles most calendar
invites and who sends out
correspondences to clients to alert them
of their court dates or of any sort of
action on their case. I try to meet with
people as much as often in person, if
not on Zoom. Really try to make sure
that the client understands that I’m
there for them. I’m their big brother
for the couple months or I’m their uncle
for a few months, whatever it takes, so
that the family and the client knows
that we’re all here together. This is a
team effort.
