A will contest is a legal process found in what’s called the probate court in New Jersey and it’s when you’re arguing that the will a person left was not the product of their own wishes that they were in some way influenced by another person or incapable of drafting one themselves. So it’s a legal process to challenge the disposition and seek to set it aside and it can last anywhere from one to four years depending on the size of the estate and the complexity of the issues.
