On a second-time DUI, you still will face additional ignition interlock. For example, if you’re a 0.08 to a 0.159, you’re on ignition interlock for one year. If you’re a 0.16 or greater, it’s ignition interlock for two years. If you have a prior DUI on your _____ and you have one of those aggravating factors – a child in the car, a 0.20 test or greater, or a test refusal – then you can lose your vehicle by forfeiture at that level on a second offense with those built-in aggravating consequences.

Minneapolis DUI Lawyer David Valentini discusses how a person facing a second DUI with aggravating factors will face a harsher penalty.
