That is probably the most difficult question that the client confronts because it is a very personal decision to the client as to whether to expend what can be a long time period and substantial funds to kinda drag something out that, you know, we’re not comfortable with the results to begin with. So for clients, often it’s explaining how the appellate process works, what the timing is, the cost, and that it’s ultimately up to the individual to decide whether this is in that person’s best interest to proceed with the appeal, both emotionally and financially.
