The time limits for filing for medical malpractice are complex, and this is one of those things that most lawyers would say contact a lawyer and have them give you an opinion.  But very broad strokes; for medical malpractice that results in death, it’s no more than three years from the date of death.  For any other medical malpractice, it’s four years from essentially the date of injury.

But there are things that can extend that, and, again, that’s why it’s important to contact an attorney right away to get an evaluation.

Minneapolis Medical Malpractice and Civil Litigation Attorney, Kathleen Loucks, talks about the time limits for filing for medical malpractice.
