Yeah, there’s a lot of different injury types that occur for the people that we represent, and what we try to do is we try to end up being specialists in some of those areas, really as a matter of experience. We’ve helped people with certain injuries. There’s a certain type of injury that – condition that certain people have, and in the workers’ compensation system, having an attorney experienced in that area can be really helpful. One of those sort of unique type of injuries is RSD and CRPS. It’s called this interchangeably, so it’s reflex sympathetic dystrophy and complex regional pain syndrome. What it is is it’s generally in a limb, though not always, where your sympathetic nervous system activates and you have extremely heightened pain sensitivity in those areas. Having an injured workers’ attorney, a work comp attorney, help you on your claim if you have RSD or CRPS can be extremely helpful if you have an attorney that’s experienced in that area, not just because they’re sort of unique conditions in themselves and having somebody that’s familiar with that can be helpful, but specifically because the Workers’ Compensation Act has rules in it that govern what types of treatment fit in what’s called the treatment parameters, and individuals who have CRPS or RSD a lot of times have complicated medical treatment, including stellate ganglion injections in their neck or types of medications or prescriptions, and having an attorney that knows what you’re eligible for and knows the treatment parameters can be extremely helpful. We have had experience with a lot of different clients with this serious condition, CRPS, which is also called RSD.

Hopkins, MN personal injury attorney Joshua Laabs discusses why it’s important to have a lawyer experienced in RSD and CRPS if pursuing a case involving those conditions.
