In terms of railroad crossing cases we handled three cases involving three separate accidents that all happened at the same railroad crossing up in Ventura County. This was a private crossing so it was a crossing where there’s just a stop sign, there’s no gates or lights. There had been a series of accidents because what was happening was there was sort of a blind curve where cars would come along this private road, make a sharp turn onto the railroad tracks, and they were not able to see the fact that there were trains coming. These series of accidents kept happening, we were hired to represent the clients in each one of these cases. What was most gratifying about those cases besides the fact that we were able to reach favorable settlements for our clients was that eventually there were gates and lights that were installed at that crossing. And so, this dangerous condition was eventually eliminated and I think our lawsuits had a lot to do with why that eventually happened.

Torrance, CA personal injury attorney Roger Booth talks about railroad accident cases he was involved in. He explains that we successfully handled three railroad crossing cases involving separate accidents that occurred at the same railroad crossing in Ventura County. This particular crossing was a private one, lacking gates or lights and only equipped with a stop sign. Due to the presence of a blind curve, vehicles turning onto the railroad tracks were unable to see approaching trains, leading to a series of accidents.

Upon being entrusted with representing the clients in each of these cases, we were not only able to secure favorable settlements but also achieved a significant outcome. As a direct result of our lawsuits, gates and lights were eventually installed at that crossing, eliminating the dangerous condition. It was immensely gratifying to know that our actions played a role in improving safety and ensuring the well-being of future motorists.
