I think there are. Yes, there are some retirement accounts where you don’t need a QDRO and it’s not always in play, but I think for a lot of retirement accounts, it is a necessary tool to divide your retirement account in a way that doesn’t result in some financial consequence: taxes, penalties, et cetera.
