Hiding assets is quite common in divorce cases. And what’s important is that you sit down with your divorce lawyer and you show him or her the evidence that you have of your suspicions that they’re hiding assets. You know, is it a bank statement you ran across? You know, what is it that led you to believe this is happening? And so that then your lawyer can come up with the best way to determine what has happened. Perhaps, subpoena records, deposing a witness, or issuing certain discovery requests to the other side, as well as hiring, sometimes, a financial expert to trace the records and find where the money may have gone.
