I enjoy advocating for clients in all kinds of disputes. On the one hand, you have to know the law and you have to research the law, which is very intellectually satisfying. But every dispute involves not just the law but the unique facts of the case. And the facts of the case are always grounded in the practical and the real world and it’s a different kind of research and a different kind of investigation. And in order to succeed in my advocacy I have to marry the intellectual part of my practice, the law, with the human drama in some cases, but always the practical realities of the facts of the case and weave them together to create successful advocacy.
