Mesothelioma is cancer that comes from asbestosis exposure, and it – that is what it comes from. Mesothelioma does not come from anything else, except asbestos exposure. So if an individual is unfortunately diagnosed with that, that’s where it came from. Now, where the asbestos exposure was is a different story, and that obviously lends towards much of what my practice is in figuring out and having to bring litigation as to where the exposure was. But mesothelioma is a form of cancer caused by asbestos. And there are different forms. The two we mainly see are lung, pleural, anything with the respiratory system. Or unfortunately, sometimes the fibers will have ended up in the stomach, and that’s called peritoneal mesothelioma. So asbestosis is different than mesothelioma in that asbestosis is not cancer. The mesothelioma is a cancer diagnosis.
