Well, there are several cases that stand out. One of the more recent cases involved a family where the husband had gone in for a routine angiogram and went there in the morning. By the end of the day, he had bled to death, leaving a wife and a young daughter, who was in high school about to start college, leaving them both without support – both as a father, as well as financially – and the hospital and the insurance – and the doctor determined that they would never pay any money at all – that they would never admit responsibility – they would never take responsibility – and by the time we were through with the trial, the jury determined that this family was entitled to over $5 million in damages for the loss. So, this child is able to go to college. The mother is able to live her life with support that she otherwise would’ve been deprived of.

Chicago, IL personal injury attorney Bruce Goodman talks about doctors’ liablility for failure to diagnose.
