The question is I’ve had a hip implant. It is a metal-on-metal hip implant, but I love my doctor and I don’t want to do anything that could implicate my doctor. That’s how most people feel, because they love their orthopedic surgeons. Most of the people have gotten great relief from what they had before they had the surgery. So they’re happy with their doctor. They’re happy with their hospitals, and that’s the way it should be.

To my knowledge, none of the doctors and none of the hospitals are being sued, are being brought into this case. Johnson & Johnson early on said, Well, the problem is doctors were putting the hips in wrong. Well, they’re not saying that in the lawsuit process, so doctors are not being brought into this by lawyers like me, or even my Johnson & Johnson, who at least initially thought that their product was fine, but it was the doctors that were screwing up. So doctors and hospitals are not in this litigation.

Minneapolis personal injury lawyer Bill Sieben describes how people can still recover if they do not want to sue their doctor in a hip implant case.
