Federal Criminal Cases: How do federal cases differ from state cases?

Federal cases are different because usually the federal government and federal prosecutors and agents have more resources to bear. They at first provide what looks like a better package against the criminal defendant. But I’ve also found that over time you can work those cases, and with attention to detail you can start to see the holes in their investigation and where that comes. And so that takes that attention to detail for federal cases. You need to bring that to bear on all cases, but particularly in the federal cases. That’s kind of the key difference between the two.
