Well, one is having the right attorney. And the second is having the right facts and the judge in the court – in the trial court having made an error, which happens too many times. Give you an example in a custody case. There’s a section of the statute that sets forth factors for determining custody. If the court does not cover the factors, it’s reversible error.
If the court deviates from the schedule of what support is supposed to be and does not have any substantial basis for doing it, just makes the decision they’re gonna deviate, then that’s another basis. In a divorce case, if the facts are not there that have been testified to and there’s credible evidence, then that can be reversed. Another one is if you have an expert testimony and there’s no conflicting testimony from the other side. And if the court ignores that expert’s testimony that’s reversible error.
