Well, I think every Minnesotan at least this is what we the team at Robins Kaplan Chris Messily and Phil Siefer, and then, the rest of the trial team which included me and Tim Sharp from our firm said to the other side that every Minnesotan and everyone that might ever encounter on jury knew where they were when the bridge collapsed, and the last time their loved one went over it. So it was that kind of case.

It was August 1, 2007. We should probably check that date, but that’s one burned in my mind, and it is the bridge collapse in the very specific way. And we were able to with the help of some fine engineers who are now working on the new Viking stadium prove and how that happened, and how URS, the engineering firm that was inspecting and investigating the bridge at the time of its collapse actually caused the damage.

Minneapolis attorney Robert Bennett discusses the facts of the 35W bridge collapse.
