Well we’ve had a good team here, not just my experience, which is nice. We have five people who all know what they’re doing and will be able to do it a long time after I’ve retired. But I basically took my first I think civil rights case in 1980 and have done them ever since. I think they’re the most, you know, they’re very interesting and it’s been an honor to do them. You do them most in federal court and federal court is the more formal court here. The rules are followed and our three judges ensure that they’re followed, they along with magistrate judges do a wonderful job of that. You feel like you’re really in the courtroom that I guess I saw on TV when I was growing up. It was a formal place where people got their disputes resolved fairly. I think an _____ judiciary that’s appointment rather than elected is a better place to resolve our disputes I think than district courts for the United States are excellent courts and I like practicing there a lot.

Minneapolis attorney Robert Bennett shares his experience in representing plaintiff’s in a variety of matters including personal injury and civil rights.
