Guardianship is a lot the same as the conservatorship, except for the person’s referred to as a ward. Again, they’re incapacitated, suffering from some sort of diminished capacity, and they need somebody to be named to act in their best interests, as far as their person goes, as far as their healthcare goes, their living, things of that nature. And again, that can often be avoided if somebody just has a validly-executed healthcare power of attorney.
