So another area that we look at whether that’s DUI or really, any other criminal defense is was your initial contact whether that’s through a stop or even begin walked up to on a street, was that initial contact with a police officer legal and valid. There’s a few reasons that an officer can initiate contact, one of them is if they have an articulable suspicion of criminal activity, another is a lawful traffic infraction, another is community safety. So we take a look at those three and see if the officer had enough evidence or at least put forth enough evidence to satisfy one of those categories. And once again, that’s not always the case, sometimes officers are following their gut, sometimes they’re working under preconceived notions. So we make sure that that initial contact was accurate in order to provide the best defense for our clients.
