So many people think that if they blow over the legal limit their case is done at that point, and that’s far from the truth. A breath test is not a simple outcome where somebody breathes into a machine and they get an absolute number. There’s a lot of science involved that creates that number. Science that can be looked at and science that unfortunately, is not always 100 percent accurate. So part of my job is to go into the machine, pull it apart, do background checks on those numbers, and really come up with a way to either invalidate them or at least take a closer look to make sure they’re valid ‘cause they’re not always accurate.
