You’re always allowed to close your credit card without your spouse’s consent if there’s not either a divorce pending or a court order that says something to the contrary. But you want to exercise caution before doing that because you may trigger an upset spouse who thinks now that you’re either planning a divorce or gonna be much more litigious than you actually intend to be. And that may cause more litigation and upset than you intended. So you can, yes, but I would use caution.
