One of the things that I’ve been fortunate to be able to do more recently is to serve as what’s called a Consensual Special Master.  What a Consensual Special Master is is a person who is selected by the attorneys, then appointed by the judge that sits as a presiding judge of the particular case, and then the Consensual Master essentially becomes the judge of the case so that the judge that was assigned is no longer on the case.  The Consensual Special Master takes over and then any decisions that the Consensual Special Master makes go directly to the Court of Appeals. So I think that’s another thing that a judge brings to a case to help reach resolution.
