Private business, a small business, not necessarily small in terms of financial success but small in the number of shareholders or the number of owners of the business is frequently a complicated asset. You have to go through the appraisal process. You have to figure out how the business can continue and still pay the non-participating spouse his or her share.

Music and art are frequently complicated assets to either divide or to value. Art, some art that was worth 10’s of millions of dollars a decade ago may not be worth that now. The same way with music, music which was more valuable or less valuable before may be more or less valuable at the time of divorce.
