Two things. One is get it in writing, and that sounds like something that sounds a little bit trite. But in this particular area of the law, it is very important to get your arrangement in writing. But perhaps more important is once you do get it in writing, make sure that you act in conformance with what you wrote down. You can write down anything you want, but if you don’t act that way, and if it ever becomes an issue in front of a court or administrative law judge, it’s gonna be far more how you acted in that relationship than what you did in writing it down on paper.
