The simple answer is no. There is a Domestic Abuse Statue in Minnesota that it hasn’t been interpreted by the Minnesota courts, but the general interpretation is that you can’t discriminate or discipline or discharge someone because they are seeking protection under a Domestic Abuse Statue and it would surprise me that an employer would do that anyway. Typically employers are very helpful and supportive of employees who have been subject to domestic abuse, giving them time off to have court hearings, enforcing restraining orders against the abusive spouse or individual who is involved.
