A business valuation expert is a person that you hire in a forensic capacity who is comfortable and experienced testifying about business valuations in court. That person can be either a neutral business valuation expert or hired for one party. That person does gather all the information, conduct management interviews, hear from both sides if it’s a neutral, and also then issue a business report. Then the expert goes into court and then testifies about the value of the business.
