I think pretty much from high school it was clear to me that I like to argue a lot. And that I actually had a talent for school. Some people had soccer, some people had swimming, I had understanding how to take a large amount of information that seemingly had no organization to it and boil it down into simple, plain talk. And so I felt that would be with my desire to argue. And also, I liked helping people and I thought it would be an interesting job, I decided to pursue a career in law. I also got a business degree just because I thought that it would be good to have something that complemented law. You don’t really need any particular degree to go to law school, you need a four-year degree but you don’t need to have any particular major, but I thought that would be something that I was interested in. And really a lot of it kind of boils down to what my parents told me when I was younger, they said, “You’re going to have spend a lot of your life working so make sure it’s something you really enjoy, unless you’re fortunate enough to be independently wealthy, but we don’t know if that’s going to happen.” So I decided that it was worth putting in the time to do it.
