Automatic orders are statutory orders that go into effect when the divorce action is commenced. When the papers are filed with the county clerk’s office, whether it’s the summons or summons and complaint, these orders are filed also and they’re served upon the other party. They become effective as of when they’re filed on the party filing, and they become effective on the other party when that party is served.
