So I’ve done anything from your simple assaults all the way up to your assaults three, two, and the most severe is first degree. Some of those have a deadly weapon enhancement, some of them don’t, but all of them are extremely serious in terms of both the crime that’s being alleged as well as the potential penalties. So I’ve worked everything in between. What I feel is important in working those cases is telling your story. Every client is going to have a story to tell and typically it’s different than what’s in the police report and I feel that’s one of my first jobs is making sure the prosecutor knows they’re not prosecuting a file and what the officer says is not canon. We’re going to make that file three dimensional, we’re going to tell your story, and ultimately, we’re going to get a best outcome or we’re going to trial and tell your story.
