so the firm’s been involved in

commercial and civil litigation for over

30 years we handle all types of

commercial litigation disputes contract

disputes real estate disputes business

disputes

we’ve got several attorneys that were

former litigation partners at larger law

firms than us downtown

that just didn’t like the lifestyle and

work environment of being in a large law

firm

and i think our clients appreciate the

business acumen that we bring

to litigation

you know litigation is

is a mess for everybody nobody wins in

litigation even the lawyers don’t win

even though we’re getting paid

our only stock in trade is time and we

only have so much time in a given day or

a given week

and

it’s always our

recommendation to a client to avoid

litigation at all costs

at all costs

and if you cannot avoid it

you definitely need to hire someone that

you’re comfortable working with that you

believe in that you’re not questioning

their modus operandi or why they want to

do something because litigation for

a business owner or layperson that’s not

familiar with the law or has never been

involved in litigation before

is kind of like trying to fix your car

when the engine’s broke if you’re not a

mechanic like you wouldn’t even think

about doing it you have no idea how to

do it and you take your car to a

mechanic and they fix the car and they

tell you what was wrong and you have no

idea whether that was actually wrong but

your car is working again

and so

getting involved in litigation is a

similar thing because you’re not

familiar with the rules of procedure the

practice rules of evidence the judges

and it’s a highly complicated

um

very

sophisticated thing that goes on

especially in a world of technology

although sometimes it just can’t be

avoided but we’ve been involved in a

bunch of it and usually i think our

clients walk away feeling like they were

well represented
