well i think one of the things that

makes our firm different is our size our

size is a midsize firm what we’re

routinely seeing now is you have really

big firms or you have firms that are

more boutique firms we kind of operate

in the middle and the benefit of a

midsize firm that we have is that

we don’t have some of the same

bureaucracy or challenges that big firms

do to getting tasks organized and

getting people organized and then an

advantage we have over a boutique firm

is that we have the resources to be able

to mobilize people quickly to take care

of tasks to get things done our size

allows us to adapt to whatever the

situation is and the immediate needs of

the client

the bulk of what this firm does is

litigation of one form or another that’s

the type of cases that we generally

handle

we’re a general civil practice firm so

we can do the things that all lawyers do

such as wills probate contracts deeds uh

and so forth we don’t do divorces uh and

we don’t do tax work and we don’t do

criminal law but one way or another most

of what we are doing is litigation

either in state or federal court or the

bankruptcy court

insurance defense work is a significant

part of the practice that is where we

are hired by an insurance company to

defend their insured

commercial litigation is a is a

significant part of the practice

and that can be where two businesses are

suing each other it can be construction

uh can be a wide variety of things

medical malpractice defense is a

significant part of the practice

because we have

trial lawyers

and we do trials we have an appellate

section

so we have a lawyer that’s board

certified in appellate law

we have a lawyer with a lot of

experience and is board certified in

commercial bankruptcy law

so that’s a bankruptcy litigation type

thing

both the bankruptcy lawyer does that

kind of mediation and

uh judge specia does arbitrations and

mediations it’s a wide

wide variety of

contentious activity i suppose

well the most important aspect of

service as i see it is being accessible

and available one of the things that our

firm does is we respond to catastrophic

events

so on a moment’s notice we can get

called so you have to be accessible and

available to do that many of our clients

have our cell phones and the ability to

be able to be reached to be available

and to have a quick response is one of

the things that’s extremely important to

customer service which is what we always

want to do when we’re serving our

clients

and then responsiveness so not only just

being available but also being

responsive so many times in this world

we get emails

and there are quick quick responses that

are needed

timely responding to important emails is

important and then one step further is

picking up the phone a lot of things

that happen nowadays is through email

communications and people forget to just

pick up that phone

because that actually takes longer than

sending an email or text but picking up

the phone so that you can not just

answer the question in front of you but

also be available to answer other

questions that the clients may have and

follow up
