I was licensed to practice in 1994 after graduating from law school at St. Mary’s University School of Law. Since that time, I have worked for the state of Texas at one of the government agencies. I worked for a boutique law firm in Dallas. Then got married, came to Corsicana and worked for a local attorney here and after three year’s time founded Keathley & Keathley with my husband.

So since 1999 Steve and I have been working here at Keathley & Keathley representing citizens not only in our community but in surrounding counties.

Since I came to Corsicana, which was roughly in 1997 or 1996, I have been involved in our local bar association, which is the Navarro County Bar Association. I’ve spent the majority of my time here in Corsicana as president of our local bar association and I found it to be a very rewarding job. Not only because of the benefits we can bring to our community but also to allow the lawyers an opportunity to come together and hopefully to be able to get to know each other outside of the courtroom so that when we’re in the courtroom we have a deeper understanding of ourselves so that we can better represent our clients as opposed to just fighting with each other. Which seems to happen quite a bit when I travel out of town especially in the metroplex area or when attorneys not from the Navarro County area come into our community.

I’ve also recently been elected as the district 2 State Bar of Texas director. And I have served in that capacity almost one year not it’s a three-year term and I represent 17 counties from Navarro County south down to Leon County and then all the way east to the Louisiana border. And that’s been a very rewarding opportunity getting to know lawyers not only throughout my district specifically but then also other lawyers in the state of Texas.
