In Texas, a party is eligible for spousal support if they’ve had a marriage that is at least 10 years in length and there is a spouse who is not able and doesn’t have the history of working to support themselves. In Navarro County, it’s not given that often but in the correct situation where you have a long term marriage and a non-monied spouse who needs the ability to either get back on their feet and get back in the workforce or has some sort of disability then the court does and has the ability to award that.
