A parenting consultant is a valuable professional. It’s got a horrible title, because consultant sounds like they’re just gonna come and tell you how to parent and give you some ideas, but really the parent consultant works with two parents, coaches them in their co-parenting, but really what they are is a private judge. And so, instead of running to court every three months with a variety of issues based on different – differences of opinion or someone being rather obstinate or whatever the other issues are, you’ve got a private person that you can email, have phone calls with, maybe meet with, and that person, after getting to know your file, can regularly issue decisions that are as binding as a judge’s decision.
