I have been lucky to be trained and have mentors who were the dean of bankruptcy law, which includes my mentor, Bill Kampf, who was the dean of bankruptcy law for a number of years. And Bill described bankruptcy as a recycling of souls. He believed that bankruptcy allowed people to maintain their financial dignity while assuring that the creditors received the maximum benefit of their claims. And as such, I look at this as something that is one of the highest forms of practicing law and I very much have appreciated the ability to work in that area for the 20 years that I’ve been practicing law.
