One of the fundamental principles in our country is that the markets operate freely and that companies and people should compete with one another. That includes competing when they price a product, what they charge people, but also when they decide what they’re gonna pay people or pay suppliers for their products. And the case involves claims that really these companies got together and prevented the market from operating and drove down wages for these people, and that’s a serious problem and it affected people to a significant degree.
